EUROGATE - Moving the global economy

EUROGATE is Europe's leading shipping line-independent container-terminal group. Jointly with Contship Italia, we operate ten sea terminals on the North Sea, in the Mediterranean region as well as on the Atlantic, with excellent connections to the hinterland of Europe. In 2011 we handled over 13 million TEUs. End of September 2012, the EUROGATE Contianer Terminal in Wilhelmshaven will go into operation.

Along with container handling, we offer a full range of box-related operations, from cargo-modal services, to container-depot services, container servicing and container repair. In addition, EUROGATE offers intermodal transport.

		Wilhelmshaven reinforces hinterland connections Wilhelmshaven, 2 May 2013 +++ EUROGATE Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven is enhancing its competitiveness. Not only from the water-side, but from the land-side, too, Germany’s only deep-water container port is an interesting alternative to other seaport locations in terms of both time and cost.

		Bremerhaven the Best Practice model for the handling of offshore wind turbines Bremen, 24 April 2013 +++ The EUROGATE Container Terminal Bremerhaven got high-profile visitors from New Bedford in the US state of Massachusetts. The 26-strong delegation from this small port city on the East coast was led by mayor Jonathan Mitchell. Most of the delegates work in urban and harbour development

		EUROGATE at Transrussia 2013 in Moscow Bremen, 22. April 2013 +++ EUROGATE will have a presence at Transrussia 2013, the major transport exhibition taking place in Moscow from 23 to 26 April 2013. The container terminal group will accompany its partner NCC at its stand. The company will focus on marketing Germany’s only deep-water container port, the EUROGATE Container Terminal in Wilhelmshaven. Wilhelmshaven is the most easterly deep-water port of all the North Sea ports.

		Container handling volumes and revenue remain stable Bremen, 10 April 2013 +++ In fiscal 2012, the EUROGATE Group kept group revenue and container handling volumes stable at the previous year’s level with EUR 654 million and 13.3 million TEUs respectively. Group annual net profit decreased year-on-year in line with expectations due to startup costs

		Container volumes at previous year’s level Bremen, 14 February 2013 +++ EUROGATE Group’s container terminals defended their market position despite the difficult operating environment. In 2012, the Europe-wide operating group handled 13.3 million standard containers (TEUs), and thus drew level overall with the previous year’s figure.
